NORTHERN BUILDING RETROFIT ECONOMY
BENEFITS FOR COMPANIES, HOMEOWNERS & GOVERNMENT
Preliminary study shows that reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions in the Northwest Territories could lead to the creation of 400 jobs per year for 10 years in the clean energy sector.
To meet the Energy-specific requirements of the LBC, one hundred and five percent of the
project’s energy needs must be supplied by on-site renewable energy on a net annual
basis, without the use of on-site combustion.
REVERSING CLIMATE CHANGE
Canada’s first carbon-Negative building, and the first Living Building in the Circumpolar North. The space will support emerging entrepreneurs, activate youth and assert indigenous leadership in climate action and clean energy-related projects.
